November 4, 2017 from 11:00AM to 11:30AM

AMACI – the Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums and OGR – Officine Grandi Riparazioni in Turin announce Museums at The ‘Post-Digital’ Turn, the first major symposium conceived by AMACI in the framework of Museum Twenty-One, a brand new research platform dedicated to the transformations of the contemporary art museum.

Museums at the ‘Post-Digital’ Turn will take place at the OGR in Turin over two days, 3 – 4 November 2017, and will encompass seven panels including presentations and lectures.

On November 4, from 11 am to 11.30 am, Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev – artistic director of dOCUMENTA(13) in 2012 and today Director of Castello di Rivoli and GAM in Turin – and emerging artist Cécile B. Evans – winner of the 2016 illy Prize – discuss the conditions of subjectivity and life in the digital age through a critique of current naïve beliefs and through a focus on artistic adventures and experiments that transform uncertainties and fragmentation into the grounds for an emotional and affective presence where communicating becomes communicaring.
