Each of the invited artists were asked to choose a site in the city and to develop a work with that site in mind. I chose the Laganside buscentre because even through it was quite a new building it had a melancholy atmosphere. It was never full or busy and you always had the feeling that people were waiting to be somewhere else. Filter was a sound installation that played through the public address system of the buscentre every fifteen minutes. I recorded myself singing melancholy pop songs with themes of longing and escape.
