\nIn the bookshop a semi-permanent sound Installation by Michele\u00a0Ferrari (1986)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Villa Lontana Records live performance is part of the interventions conceived by Paint It Black for Castello di Rivoli bookshop with the intention of stimulating new reflections on the possibilities of art publishing.<\/p>\n

The live performance on Friday June 30 will include a selection of\u00a0vinyls from the record label\u2019s archive together with the playing of the Korg\u00a0Electribe MX.<\/p>\n

A semi-permanent sound\u00a0installation by Michele Ferrari (1986) will also be presented inside the bookshop\u00a0spaces. An unpublished site-specific audio including field-recordings\u00a0deriving from a selection of some of the artist\u2019s books of the publishing\u00a0house Paint It Black. The sound of pages leafed through at varying speeds\u00a0and intensities is superimposed on electromagnetic sounds recorded across\u00a0the bookshop and the rooms of the Castello di Rivoli. This original\u00a0soundscape titled\u00a0BLCKRVL\u00a0will activate during opening hours every fifty-nine minutes, for a total duration of approximately one minute.<\/p>\n

Villa Lontana Records<\/a><\/u><\/p>\n

Villa Lontana Records is an experimental, independent record label based in\u00a0Rome, directed by Vittoria Bonifati and Michele Ferrari, which focuses on\u00a0the production of new sounds, from electroacoustics to field-recordings and\u00a0from electromagnetism to sound poetry. The label responds to Villa\u00a0Lontana\u2019s curatorial programme which includes exhibitions making,\u00a0publications and artists\u2019 editions.<\/p>\n

PERIODIKUM Magazine<\/u><\/a><\/p>\n

PERIODIKUM is a biennial publication by Say Say Say, Inc. that presents a\u00a0new reality by exploring wondrous visions of our outer and inner worlds.\u00a0Because we believe, what we achieve inwardly will change outer reality.\u00a0(We didn\u2019t say this . . . Plutarch did.) The first issue \u201cSix Poetical and\u00a0Dialogical Strategies\u201d acts as an invitation to introspection. In the form of\u00a0\u201cthought images\u201d, it takes readers on a pop-cultural journey into our most\u00a0hidden spaces. Those are composed as concealed worlds in different layers\u00a0that deal with the unconscious and the enigmatic.<\/p>\n
