Live Collection<\/p>\n

The sixth and final Live Collection<\/em> event for the year 2024 is a lecture-concert on the theme of The Swan Song<\/em>. Mario Calisi on piano and baritone Chenjie L\u00ec will perform pieces by Franz Schubert, Vincenzo Bellini, Edvard Grieg and Igor Stravinsky. This will be followed by a special tour that will lead the public to discover works, collections and stories related to the theme.<\/p>\n

Mario Calisi<\/h3>\n

Pianist, composer, conductor. He is a musician, scholar and teacher acknowledged by international critics. Since 2009, he has been teaching at the Conservatorio Statale di Musica \u2018Giuseppe Verdi\u2019 in Milan. He has taught \u2018Studio della strumentazione applicata alla partitura\u2019 in the Master of Musicology Degree Course at the University of Milan. Among his many honours, he was awarded the title \u2018Grand Officier de l\u2019Ordre Mondiale de la Science Musicale\u2019 in Geneva in 1994. He has performed in Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Portugal, Poland, Lichtenstein, Bulgaria, Brazil and Croatia, where he has released concert recordings for radio and television. W. Stettler, musicologist and music critic, described him as an \u201ceclectic, profound, coherent musician\u2026 Mario Calisi, a diamond-sounding pianist, fascinates and enraptures even the most demanding audience\u2026 His sense of metrics and adherence to tempi recalls Glen Gould in his charm.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chenjie L\u00ec<\/h3>\n

He is professor of singing at the Sichuan University of Culture and Arts (China) and president of the ORPHEUS Association in Milan. He has sung in the most important Chinese and European theatres, always enjoying great success with audiences and critics.<\/p>\n
