EDI Global Forum Napoli 2026

EDI Global Forum
Third Edition | March 18–20, 2026, Napoli
Educating Sensitivity and Critical Thinking in the Digital Age

Once again this year, the Education Department is participating in the EDI Global Forum. During the opening panel on Wednesday, March 18, Paola Zanini will deliver a presentation titled Imagining Ideas, introducing La Scuola della Curiosità (The School of Curiosity). This original and innovative project, designed for audiences of all ages, aims to cultivate the ability to question and act responsibly and sensitively in the world through art, exploring new perspectives to better understand our surroundings.

La Scuola della Curiosità is linked to the exhibition and pedagogical project Il Castello Incantato (The Enchanted Castle). Launched for the Museum’s 40th anniversary and set to be renewed in 2026, it is dedicated to “non-adult” audiences. It serves as an opportunity to revitalize the Museum’s institutional mission as a promoter of contemporary art knowledge through the direct engagement of young people in an extensive program of activities.

EDI Global Forum is a project conceived by the Fondazione Morra Greco and supported by the Campania Region. It serves as a global gathering for educators from museums, universities, foundations, and similar organizations. The Forum showcases the most innovative international museum educational practices and promotes the co-creation of new forms of audience engagement.

The previous edition welcomed nearly 400 participants, representing 193 organizations from 30 countries.

The Forum returns in 2026 with a dynamic three-day program featuring debates, roundtables, workshops, exhibitions, performances, and experimental participatory practices. It focuses on two crucial issues of our time: the critical interpretation of images and the cultivation of fragility. In an era defined by constant visual overstimulation, the Forum promotes visual literacy as a tool for exercising critical thinking amidst the explosive proliferation of images in daily life.

In a period marked by profound social and technological transformations, education can no longer be viewed as a mere transmission of knowledge. Instead, it becomes the foundation for individual self-determination and active citizenship. EDI Global Forum offers a tangible opportunity to experiment with new pedagogical models and redefine learning paradigms.
