Castello di Rivoli Education Department is curating a training day for the International training program in Museums promoted by the Educational & Talent Development Department in The Saudi Museums Commission.

Fondazione Torino Musei is the Italian referring institution of the Saudi Museum Commission, for the international training program, also involving the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo. As part of a broader framework of strategic education and development initiatives in the Saudi cultural sector, Fondazione Torino Musei will implement, under the scientific direction of Dr. Mariachiara Guerra, a four-week capacity building training program for 60 students and museum passionates, who will have the opportunity to build a methodological toolbox for a complex and contemporary approach to the world of museums.

From June 16th to July 12th, 2025, participants will study in deep the themes of education, conservation and exhibition design, developing specific project work, supported by experts from GAM, MAO and Palazzo Madama, the program’s main guest museums.
In parallel, they will discover the richness of Turin’s cultural ecosystem, both through the intervention of research institutions such as the Polytechnic University of Turin, Archivissima and the CCW – Cultural Welfare Center, and during visits and seminars at the Egyptian Museum, the Reggia of Venaria and the Venaria Reale Conservation and Restoration Center, the Valentino Castle, the Gallerie d’Italia, the Castello di Rivoli, the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, the Museo del Risorgimento Italiano and the PAV – Parco d’Arte Vivente.


Also involved in the program will be international experts such as Prof. Alessandro Crociata and prof. Francesca Cominelli, economists of Culture who give keynote speeches, the French museographer Adrien Gardère and game designer Fabio Viola, who will lead workshops dedicated to the enhancement of collections and digital innovation in museums.

12.00-1.30 pm guided tour of the Castello di Rivoli, the Savoy residence, UNESCO heritage site, history and architecture, current exhibitions.

1.30-2.30 pm lunch at the Museum Cafeteria
