New public connection every Saturday between Turin and Castello di Rivoli

New public connection every Saturday between Turin and Castello di Rivoli: the intermodal line that combines train and shuttle starts.
Starting from Saturday 7 December 2024, a new public transport connection will be active that will allow you to reach Castello di Rivoli in just over half an hour from Turin Porta Nuova.
This is the variation of the 36n Rivoli–Alpignano line on Saturdays, modifying the route and timetable: an agreement reached between the City of Rivoli and the Metropolitan City of Turin that will allow – starting from the first week of December – to have every Saturday during the opening hours of the Castle (from 11 to 18) hourly trips between the Alpignano train station and Castello di Rivoli in conjunction with trains from Turin.
In fact, there will be an average connection time between the Turin Porta Nuova train station and the Castello di Rivoli of 35 minutes, making things easier for tourists already during the Christmas period, but above all the opportunity of the new Saturday service will allow the connection between Rivoli and Turin to be relaunched in an integrated train + bus format, giving importance to competitive travel times even compared to private cars, anticipating the intermodal logic underlying the revision of the local public transport network (TPL).
The integrated ticket, valid for 100 minutes, costs €3.80 and includes the Turin–Alpignano train and the shuttle to Rivoli; two tickets are required for the return journey from Turin. Type A integrated tickets can be purchased at authorized retailers
