Gino De Dominicis

Gino De Dominicis has used different forms of expression to address fundamental themes such as death and immortality, history, the role of art and of the artist. His works represent an invitation to reflection and contemplation, in an ideal attempt to stop time through artistic practice.

In Untitled, 1967-1969, a golden rod imperceptibly rests its tip sharply on a rock. The rod is suspended in a balanced situation that reveals a tension towards an eternal time, as also evidenced by the use of the color gold, which has always been herald of a strong spiritual meaning.
