The art and creativity have often anticipated future and potential social and historical scenarios. Made in 2015, the film, a European co-production, shows the possible effects of the European Union’s break-up, highly topical as shown by the political tensions and the sensational and unexpected exit of Great Britain from the EU. The Europe’s growing crisis, selfishness of leaders away from citizens and repeated mistakes in the common management of the economy narrated in the film, they show us the next possible disaster coming. The Great European Disaster describes a Europe headed towards the abyss.

The creators of the film launched the Wake Up Europe! campaign to promote a transnational debate on the future of the European Union.

The event is organized by the Castello di Rivoli and the GAM Torino in collaboration with the Museo Nazionale del Cinema di Torino.
