The Castello di Rivoli offers university-level students the opportunity to intern in the Curatorial Department, Education Department, and Library.

Curatorial Department

Internship attendance

 

The Castello di Rivoli offers internships for a minimum of two months, during the following hours: 9–13, 14–18, Monday to Thursday.

Students participating in the Curatorial Department internship are supervised by the Museum’s Head Curator or a Curator, in the following activities supporting the Curatorial Department:

 

Research on artists and works from the permanent collection;

Research on upcoming temporary exhibitions and catalogs in production;

Research on the Museum’s archive;

Assistance in publishing brochures and educational/informative material on exhibitions;

Desk work, including archiving and documenting.

 

Requirements

Internships are aimed at university-level students majoring in Art History or students attending a Master’s/specialization course in Curatorial Studies. Good speaking and writing skills, excellent knowledge (written and spoken) of at least one foreign language, and organizational abilities are all preferable.

 

Education Department

Internship attendance

 

The Castello di Rivoli offers internships for a minimum of two months, during the following hours: 9–13, 14–18, Monday to Friday.

Students participating in the Education Department internship are supervised, in the following activities:

 

Support on all activities of the Education Department, including desk work and documenting;

Historical and contemporary research on artists from the permanent collection and upcoming temporary exhibitions;

Support for workshop activities.

Requirements

Internships are aimed at university-level students majoring in Art History, or students attending a Master’s/specialization course in Art, a Diploma course in Art or Psychopedagogy. Good communication, as well as technical/organizational skills and knowledge of at least one foreign language, are all preferable.

 

Castello di Rivoli Museo d’Arte Contemporanea Library

Internship attendance

The Castello di Rivoli offers internships for a minimum of two months, during the following hours: 9–13:30, 14–17, Monday to Friday.

Students participating in the Library internship are supervised, in the following activities:

Support on management, reference services, inventory and reorder of Library’s bibliographical material;

SBN Web cataloging;

Support on publication loans with other museums and galleries;

Cataloging new Library acquisitions.

Requirements

Internships are aimed at university-level students majoring in Cultural Heritage. Understanding of librarianship and cataloging rules; SBN Web, library management application; Office programs; knowledge of a foreign language (preferably English).
