Museum Archive

The history of Castello di Rivoli Museo d’Arte Contemporanea is the first and most substantial archive on which the CRRI’s activities are based. The campaign to sort and digitize the materials relating to the solo and group exhibitions held at the Castello, starting with Ouverture in 1984, is constantly being implemented. The digitized materials include essays published in catalogues, photographs of works on display in the rooms, press kits including press releases and lists of works on display, invitations to openings, brochures, and room sheets.

This rich ensemble offers the possibility of retracing the exhibition history of the Museum and delving into the complex stratigraphy of artists, curators, theorists, modes of exhibition and expression that have succeeded each other at the Castello di Rivoli over its years of activity. All these materials are shared through the Museum’s website, forming a free and accessible cultural heritage.
